Disclosure
Hey Mamas!
I love getting to share my heart and passion on this blog! It has now become my full-time income and a great way to pay for diapers and groceries for my family!
Disclosure Policy:
So as per FTC Regulations I would like to let you know that I do have affiliate links throughout this blog. The links provide me with a small percentage of commission but do not cost you anything extra.
I (Cara Harvey) am also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Privacy Policy:
Additionally, whenever I ask for your email address or information from you I will keep it safe and protected! I will not spam you or sell your email address or do anything to violate that trust in anyway! I will never share personal information with third-parties nor do I store any information about your visit to this blog other than to analyze and optimize your content and reading experience through the use of cookies.
You can turn off the use of cookies at any time by changing your specific browser settings.
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to sites on the Internet. Affiliate links do drop a cookie onto your device so that our referral can be tracked.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings.
Newsletter Privacy Policy
I offer members-only free content to subscribers of our mail list. Readers can choose to provide a name and email address for this. I do not share that information with anyone, and will never send spam.
I send informative emails with information about mom life, parenting, financial tips, healthy living and self care.
Subscribers can unsubscribe from this list at any time by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of the email from us.
This site is GDPR Compliant – GDPR Policy
I am in compliance with GDPR and my mail service provider Convert Kit is too!
The Right To Be Forgotten
The right to be forgotten is a GDPR mandate that allows subscribers to ask to delete all of the data associated with them.
- You may unsubscribe from my emails at anytime, and request that I remove all of your information and data associated, and I will delete it in it’s entirety
- Under GDPR, each of our subscribers in the EU has the right to erasure (or the right to be forgotten), meaning they can contact us and we, and our mail service provider will delete all of their personal data from all systems.
- As well, an unsubscribe link is at the bottom of each email sent
Proof Of Subscriber Consent
When a subscriber opts-in to join my mailing list, they are given a double opt-in where they must confirm their subscription to join the list, and to receive the opt-in incentive. ConvertKit adds a custom check box feature to our forms, for all EU subscribers to further verify that they are consenting to receive marketing emails.
ConvertKit signup forms automatically create a proof of consent by capturing the IP address, location, date, time, and the source of the consent form. This information will solidify your documentation of where, when and at what time subscribers consented.
The ConvertKit Data Processing Agreement (DPA) offers contractual terms that meet GDPR requirements and reflect the data privacy and security commitments to customers. Each customer processing personal data on behalf of EU/EEA individuals will be able to sign this contract with ConvertKit and keep it on file for their records.
Identifying EU Citizens
ConvertKit provides a rule in the subscriber filter where I can sort our subscribers by location, to help us easily sort GDPR subscribers.
I am aware of the chance that a EU citizen could be living abroad in a non-EU country. In these cases, it is impossible to identify them as EU citizens. But I am compliant in our efforts to be within all GDPR laws, and to the best of my ability use the tools that are available to identify EU citizens.
Thus, I apply the GDPR compliance factors mentioned above to everyone on our list, no matter their citizenship.
